Rainbow Technology Fire-Retardant Duct Sealing 6 oz Kit 79506

Two-component polyurethane foam used for sealing risers, conduits, ducts, and abandoned gas pipes against water, gas, and debris. Foam is inexpensive, safe, easily installed, and easily removed. Displays excellent adhesion to most surfaces, including all types of conduit and cable sheaths without the use of primers. It reacts 50% of full strength in approximately 3 minutes and 80% within 60 minutes after mixing. No injection gun is needed. Consists of all components required for placing conduit plug to prevent intrusion of water and gases. Duct Sealing Foam will seal virtually any size/type of pipe or conduit including PVC, ABS, metal, or fiberglass. The foam can be easily removed to pull out cable or to open a previously sealed conduit for new cable installation. Unlike other products, the unique water-blown chemistry used in Duct Sealing Foam makes the product safe to use for the installer and friendly to the environment. The specially designed packaging allows for easy mixing and user friendly application. Duct Sealing polyurethane foam is low exotherm, fast setting, easily removable, has excellent electrical properties, and does not contain TDI or MOCA. The Fire-Retardant Duct Sealing Kit displays excellent adhesion to most surfaces, including all types of conduit and cable sheaths, without the use of primers. The kit includes: two-part polyurethane mixing tube, injection barrel, two non-flammable insulating strips, packing rod, gloves, and instructions. The insulating strips are to be packed between the cables and the conduit and will contain the liquid resin while it expands. The packing rod is used to assist in packing the foam strips in conduit and around cables. The non-flammable insulating strips are used as packing strips in our Fire-Retardant Duct Sealing Kit. Each strip measures 1 1/2″ x 24″ x 1/2″. These strips are made of mineral wool and when used as part of our kit, provides a fire-retardant facing to seal conduits. These insulating strips are recommended for service temperatures up to 1200°F and have a melt point in excess of 2000°F.
