The AMPACT tool is a precision designed, powder actuated tool. AMPACT tools are actuated by firing a special powder loaded shell within the tool in order to reduce the time and effort required to tap a power line. The compact tools are manufactured in high grade steel to precise tolerances.
This 3.6 kg [8 lb] AMPACT tool includes the large head and interchangeable power unit and is used only to install yellow coded taps and stirrups with yellow shells.
