The most popular Penetrox, the A series is petroleum based. Designed to reduce corrosion and prevent oxidation of electrical connections, this oxide-inhibiting joint compound is widely used in electrical compression and mechanical connections.
Penetrox A is recommended for aluminum to aluminum and aluminum to copper connections. It is not recommended for use with rubber or polyethylene insulated conductors. Shelf life: 5 years from date of mfg when stored in cool (under 100°F) dry environment.
